His Excellency the Minister congratulated students on winning the prizes of such a high-profile international competition, urging them to continue their efforts to achieve new heights of success and excellence. Dr. Al Hammadi also lauded the significant scientific achievements made by students and stressed the need to promote such achievements and ensure they are shared with the wider community to maximize the benefits.

Addressing the winners, “I would like to voice my profoundest delight with such outstanding achievements, I should not miss out to congratulate your partners namely parents, schools and teachers for their contributions, support and dedication to creating a favorable environment to make this happen," the Minister stated. “We, in Qatar, care much about the achievements made in areas related to innovation, and research because they are not only a good testimony of the development and progress of countries and communities, but also an important characteristic of the modern age," the Minister added.  The Minister of Education and Higher Education highlighted that education, in the past, was based on knowledge, but now it is mainly dependent upon creativity. Therefore, Qatar's modern curricula mainly focus on scientific research, innovation and achievement by promoting student skills and competencies. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahed Al-Hammadi emphasized that winning prizes is a clear evidence that we are on the right track and Qatar's education system will continue to introduce further developments and improvements to curricula and pedagogies to cope up with the accelerating advancements in different walks of life. His Excellency Minister of Education and Higher Education also reiterated that the Ministry is poised to continue to provide full support to creative students.

His Excellency the Minister of Education and Higher Education urged the winners to act as messengers of creativity and innovation to their colleagues and that they should encourage other students to unlock their potential to produce meaningful scientific research. By so doing, students' creative, innovative works and results of scientific research will help meet the needs of people in all walks of life and their inventions would be utilized for commercial purposes in the future.

Importantly, His Excellency the Minister of Education and Higher Education extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Mariam Ali Al-Maadeed, Qatar University Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Prof. Noora Jabor Al-Thani, President of Al Bairaq Program and Head of Communication and Outreach at QU, and engineer Azza Saad, Research Assistant at Qatar University Young Scientists Center (QUYSC) for attending the honoring ceremony and their continuous support to scientific research and innovation.

It is important to underline that Abdullah Al-Janahi and Abdullah Khalid Al-Nasr, from Qatar Science & Technology Secondary School for Boys, won the gold medals in ITEX'21, Malaysia. In the meantime, Yousef Ahmed Al-Mahmoud and Tamim Al Rashid, from Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration Secondary School, won the gold medals in ITEX'21, Malaysia.  Similarly, Ahmed Majed Al bdeiwi and Ahmad Salama Tahoun, from Al Kaaban Preparatory School for Boys, won the bronze medals and the Award of the Best Three Projects in ITEX'21. Notably, both Hind Mohammed Khalid Al-Boainain and Shamma Mohammed Abdulla, from Al Jazeera Academy, bagged the silver medals in International Invention Competition for Young Moslem Scientist (IICYMS 2021) held in Indonesia, in Mechanical Engineering Category at University level though the application for the Award was open to primary school students.

It is worth to underline that International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) is one of the largest invention and research exhibitions across the globe. ITEX presents an exciting opportunity for students to showcase latest inventions and innovations in the presence of prominent international businessmen, manufacturers, as well as high-ranking officers of major corporations. Those who stand out will be on their way to commercialize their inventions.
